Run 4 Wales (R4W) is delighted to announce the return of live events in Wales with a new date for the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run. The 10K and Family Fun Run will now take place on Sunday 26 September 2021.
Following the easing of restrictions on outdoor events, it is now possible to safely deliver the event this autumn, with a number of additional measures being put in place to protect the health and safety of participants, event staff, volunteers and the wider public.
The 2021 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run will be delivered as a ‘Breathable Event’ on Sunday 26 September – providing a great event-day experience with a focus on responsibility and safety.
A limited number of entries are now available. If you’re not already registered for the Cardiff Bay Run you can sign up here. The ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K will also be delivered as a Breathable Event on Sunday 24 October 2021 and a handful of spaces remain.
You can view our COVID safety guide here, detailing all the measures that will be put in place to ensure your safety and prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Runners will also be expected to take personal responsibility to help keep everyone safe.
Everyone who had registered for the 2020 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run will be able to run in 2021 on Sunday 26 September, but there are a number of options (detailed below) for those unable to make the new date.
We’ll remain in regular contact with those signed up between now and September as we look forward to the return of the event – sharing more details on the health and safety measures that will be in place, training hints and tips plus motivational stories about those taking part.
Race packs will begin to arrive by post in mid-September, including your race number and important final instructions. With many registering for the event over 12 months ago, we urge those already registered to check that their postage address, predicted finish time and t-shirt size information is correct. Please login even if your information has not changed and tick the question box to indicate you have reviewed it – you’ll find instructions on how to do so below.
Please note that our terms and conditions have been updated to reflect the level of personal responsibility now expected of our event participants. You must only attend the event if you agree to these updated terms which now include a responsibility to only attend if you do not pose a risk to the health of others. Your attendance at the event implies your agreement to these updated terms.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation throughout the disruption caused by the pandemic and look forward to delivering a safe and memorable event for you this autumn.
